Hi, I’m Dave, I’m the designer and maker at STRIPED. I’m married to Alice and we have three children.
Having made items for my own home and for family and friends I discovered a deep love of working with wood, especially plywood. STRIPED was born out of a desire to see long-lasting, beautiful and functional items in homes.
I make a wide range of items, from coasters to kitchens, and would love to make something for your home.

Ethos
UK research has found that around 22 million items of furniture are thrown away each year.
Most of that furniture is made from cheap material like chipboard and therefore can’t last the test of time, items break more often and rarely survive the rigours of house moves. I want STRIPED furniture to be different. Making it out of high quality birch plywood means that the furniture is stronger, more durable and less likely to end up in landfill.
The wood I use is sourced from the waste of a large manufacturer which saves even more material going to landfill.
Creation
Everything at STRIPED is made to order from 'rescued' top quality birch plywood.
I create quality, long-lasting and beautiful pieces of furniture which highlight the beautiful stripes of the wood.
Splashes of colour are often added either through laminate or paint.
Although I have a collection of items that are available to buy I’m constantly looking for inspiration for new designs and new ways to create. I like new challenges and LOVE to make bespoke items for people.
